Pre-Event Bulletin
Antique and classic boaters from everywhere are looking forward to the 2007 ACBS Annual Meeting and International Boat Show in Lake George, New York! The Adirondack Chapter and Cruise Director, Steen Melby invite you to join in an odyssey up the Hudson River, Sept. 23–26. The trip will take in historic sites such as the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, the Brooklyn Bridge, West Point Military Academy and many other interesting places along the historic Hudson River. Fun, friendship and fellowship will be the key ingredients to make this cruise a successful one—this will be a celebration not to miss!
Hudson River Cruise Schedule:
Saturday 9/22: Arrive, launch boat at the Washington Irving Boat Club in Tarrytown, NY, and transport trailers to your final destination. Dinner on your own.
Sunday 9/23: Possible tour around the Statue of Liberty aboard the Mariner III, a 1926 122’ fantail motor yacht. Dinner as a group in Tarrytown.
Monday 9/24: Depart from Tarrytown and travel to Kingston. Afternoon trip is planned to the Rinebeck Aerodrome. Dinner at the Steelhouse Restaurant.
Tuesday 9/25: Depart from Kingston and
arrive in Troy. Dinner at Fresno’s Restaurant.
Wednesday 9/26: Depart from Kingston and travel to our final destination, Schuylerville. Boats will then be transported on trailers to the pristine waters of Lake George to attend the ACBS Annual Meeting and International Boat Show.
Please Note:
· Due to the river conditions your boat must be a minimum of 19’ with a planing hull and maintain a minimum of 20 mph cruising speed
· All captains are requested to accommodate additional passengers
· You must register for the ACBS Annual Meeting in order to participate in the Cruise
Cruise Selection Lottery
This cruise will be limited to 30 boats and 110 people. In order to be placed on the Hudson River Pre-Event Cruise selection lottery, please submit boat information and number of people in your party to Teresa Hoffman-Ashley no later than February 15.
