Moonshine is a 1924 Great Lakes 26-foot Runabout. She has double cockpit seating. The original motor was a Packard Marine engine model IM268. It was replaced around 1960 with a Chris Craft Hercules MCL motor with 175 hp.
The boat was brought to Harveys Lake by train in 1924 from the New York Boat Show by the John Moore family. She has never left the lake in 92 years. She is owned by Ralph and Carol Flowers who are members of the Penn. NE/Harveys Lake Chapter of ACBS. They acquired the boat from the Moore estate in 2014.
The boat is very rare. The Great Lakes Boat Company made mostly large cruisers and only a handful of the 26-foot Runabouts.
