The Rocky Mountain Classics Chapter of ACBS must wait until summer to have “in-the-water” shows, but they are busy throughout the year enjoying and promoting the antique and classic boat community.
Rocky Mountain Classics had a good showing at the Denver Boat Show in January. Here are a few of their members waiting to haul in some “show boats” for the Chapter’s display. An added attraction at the Rocky Mountain Classics display was artist Pamela Jeanine Rhoades doing character sketches of attendees – always placing them in a boat in the picture. What fun!
The above pictures were found on the Chapter’s Facebook page which is fun to follow with their current news and also some interesting videos,
The ACBS Events Calendar already lists the three main summer events for Rocky Mountain Classics.

The Chapter’s own website offers so much information. It’s beautifully done and up to date.
Take time, especially, to look at the “Our Members” site that is being built. Members featured tell the story with pictures of their own boats and boating experiences.
The Rocky Mountain Classics statement of commitment on their home page is worth thinking about:
-
Creating and nurturing a community of enthusiasts who love and care for antique and classic boats
-
Promoting the appreciation, preservation, and restoration of antique and classic boats of wood, fiberglass and aluminum construction
-
Preserving our access to, and the quality of, the natural resources of the lakes and reservoirs upon which we navigate, in this place we call home
Each of the 53 chapters of the Antique and Classic Boat Society has a dedicated page on this website. Click on the CHAPTERS tab in the top menu. Each chapter pages gives you access to the chapter’s website and Facebook pages if available. The page also lists the events for the chapter which have been submitted to the ACBS Events Calendar. Plus, any news stories that pertain to that chapter will be attached to the Chapter’s Dedicated page.
Have you looked at your own Chapter’s page?
