Lake Lotawana Rendezvous is now an autumn tradition held on Lake Lotawana, primarily centered at the docks of the Marina Grog and Galley. In addition to the Lake Lotawana classic boats, several guest boats and their guardians from the Heartland Classics Chapter are invited to participate.
Lake Lotawana Rendezvous Trois
will be held October 4-5, 2019.
Lake Lotawana is a small city on the southeastern corner of Kansas City, Missouri. The inhabitants surround a beautiful lake named Lake Lotawana.
In 2016, several residents with classic wooden boats began to get together socially and the gathering of a few classic boats attracted interest from others who already had or desired to have classic watercraft on the lake. From this group, the Lake Lotawana Wooden & Classic Boat Club was organized in 2017. Many of the members joined ACBS and the Heartland Classics Chapter.
If you wish to participate in the Lake Lotawana Rendezvous Trois, contact one of these gentlemen:

The Annual Geneva Lakes Boat Show is presented by the Blackhawk Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society.
Scheduled this year for September 26- 27, 2020 (with pre-events on September 25), the Show will feature over 100 classic and vintage boats from all over the country.
The Annual Winter Restoration Workshop
Heartland Classics’ restoration workshop gives the opportunity for classic boaters to come together to learn and share knowledge about classic boating and the preservation of vintage and wooden classic boats.
Topics covered at past workshops include wood boat repair, boat plank replacement, stripping, staining & varnishing wooden boats, fiberglass boat repair, and engine maintenance. Heartland Classics silent auction / swap meet is held at this event and where attendees bring unwanted marine “stuff” to donate to the club for the silent auction. Proceeds help fund the Mahogany & Chrome Newsletter.
Each year the workshop is organized by the Workshop Event Chair, Dan Diehl.
ACBS members are welcomed to attend.
The Annual Spring Opener at Lake Hamilton, AR
The Hot Springs Classic is held in April each year to welcome boaters to the boating season. Event dates are determined by the calendar of the Easter holiday and when the Arkansas Derby Day is held.
In the past, this spring opener has included boating on Lake Ouachita, Lake Hamilton and a pre-event in Little Rock, AR.
Arkansas offers even more for travelers when attending this event such as; Garvan Gardens, Bathhouse Row, Hot Springs Mountain, museums, historic gangster hangouts, and more…plus boating in the beautiful Arkansas springtime!
Join us at the Hacker Craft Boats production facility for a tour of the shop and discussion about the boats being built and restored. John Skinner will lead us and he is a wealth of knowledge.
The legacy is that of John L. Hacker (1877-1961), the preeminent naval architect of mahogany pleasure crafts of the last century, whose designs included some of the greatest mahogany boats ever built, with exotic names such as Pardon Me, Thunderbird, El Lagarto, Bootlegger, Peerless, Dolphin, Kitty Hawk, Belle Isle Bear Cats, My Sweetie, among others.
In the 1930’s, our celebrated boats were named “The Steinway of Runabouts,” and have exhilarated people around the world: Gold Cup racers, celebrities, royalty, captains of industry… and those who simply want the very best.
Springtime Opening for Boating Season at Lake of the Ozarks
