Naples Town Docks

The Mountainview Woodies Classic Boat Club of Maine will be holding our 24th Annual Antique and Classic Boat and Car Show on Saturday, August 12, 2017, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Naples Town Docks.

Related events include the following:

  • Tuesday, August 8 rides for campers at Camp Sunshine. Come donate your time and a little fuel to give these kids an experience that they (and you) will never forget! This is a great way to give back and let them experience a little of the nostalgia and pleasure we all remember from our youth. Enthusiastic boaters can ride from Brandy Pond thru the Songo Locks into Sebago by meeting on Brandy Pond at 10:30 AM.
  • Wednesday, August 9 Long Lake cruise to Harrison for lunch. Boaters meet in Naples in front of the town docks at 10:00 AM for a casual and relaxing ride up Long Lake. Boaters are free to peel off and explore the scenery. Boaters can order off the menu at the Villiage Tie Up in Harrison, although you are also welcome to pack a picnic lunch.
  • Thursday, August 10 Sebago Lake excursion with lunch at Migis Lodge. Avid boaters can ride from Brandy Pond thru the Songo Locks to Sebago by meeting on Brandy Pond at 10:30 AM. This is another casual and relaxing ride, this time exploring Sebago and the Dingley Islands before arriving at Migis Lodge.
  • Friday, August 11 Banquet at Freedom Cafe 5:00 PM, followed by Arrival Parade at 7:00 PM starting from Brandy Pond. This is a real crowd pleaser!

  1. Have you considered inviting automobile woodies to the Saturday portion of your event? Some other areas have a “Keels and Wheels” show: http://autoweek.com/article/car-life/22nd-annual-keels-wheels-concours-brought-boats-and-cars-together?utm_source=DailyDrive20170522&utm_medium=enewsletter&utm_term=headline-center&utm_content=body&utm_campaign=awdailydrive

I don’t know if there is a car club in the area devoted to woodies, but I think it would add to the appeal with the public.
