Door County Classic and Wooden Boat Festival
Visit beautiful Door County, Wisconsin for our 30th annual Classic and Wooden Boat Festival. A fun weekend for the entire family brings an end to Maritime Week, a salute to the US Coast Guard. The festival takes place in downtown Sturgeon Bay at the museum.
Friday afternoon’s pre-event includes a 10 mile Bay to Lake Lighthouse Cruise followed by a waterfront pizza and cocktail party. The festival opens Saturday with a parade in honor of the US Coast Guard followed by the displays in the water and on shore, food, shopping, children’s activities, boat rides, and the start of the Sikaflex Boatbuilding Challenge. The museum and its new ten-story Maritime Tower will be open for visitors.
Saturday evening brings a classic boat parade, live music on the waterfront, a dockside market, and if weather permits, a sunset cruise. Sunday opens with an optional Bloody Mary Social, more displays, boat rides, food, the on-the-water racing conclusion of the Sikaflex Challenge and our awards ceremony.
