Indian Lake Ohio is the featured Antique and Classic Boat Society Chapter this week.

The venue of Indian Lake in northwestern Ohio is the center of their focus.

ACBS Chapters come in all sizes and each has its own geography, personality, and unique reason for joining together as a group.  Clicking on Indian Lake Ohio Chapter will lead you to more information about this chapter.

The Indian Lake Ohio Chapter is officially ten years old this year. For ten years prior to 2007, a vintage car and boat show had been held at Russells Point on Indian Lake.  Their website states that:

By forming a local ACBS chapter, the founders of the annual show were able to create continuity for future shows as well as an organization for local owners of historic, antique and classic boats.
That annual show continues to be an attraction at Indian Lake in northwestern Ohio, this year scheduled for July 15th.  You might enjoy looking a the brief slide show from their 2016 show.  Click here to go to the Chapter website.

The Indian Lake Chapter is one of the smaller chapters in the Antique and Classic Boat Society, but they have active leadership, a website, a quarterly newsletter, plus the Indian Lake Chapter has several social events throughout the year where members can catch up on families, what’s going on around the lake, and share their latest boat projects.

Once formed as a chapter of ACBS, they are given the advantages of having insurance for officers and directors liability, event insurance, membership records maintained, a broad network of publicity, and their members enjoy all of the benefits of individual ACBS membership.

54 International Chapters of ACBS

The Antique and Classic Boat Society has 54 Chapters throughout the United States, Canada, and France. ACBS members who affiliate with a home chapter find a group of friends with whom to share boating experiences, boat stories, and the skills needed to maintain and/or preserve and restore their vintage boats.  Inevitably, the genuine relationships formed at the chapter level are always mentioned when an ACBS member is asked why they value their ACBS membership.

Please share information about your chapter events to be posted on this website.  Anyone can do that.  You may email up to six pictures and text to kathyparker@acbs.org.
