Linda Anne is built on a 1975 Century Arabian hull. She is owned by Bob and Linda Smith who are members of the Blue Ridge Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society.
The following quote was submitted with their membership information about the boat.
The Linda Anne is the blending of a modern fiberglass hull design and drivetrain (1975 Century Arabian 200 w/454 cid engine and BW Velvetdrive Vdrive) with classically designed all mahogany construction from the chine upward. Glen-L Riviera plans were used as the basis for the design and were modified to fit the Arabian hull.
The interior layout is similar to the Arabian. The original Merc/Chev 454 has been totally rebuilt, bored to 468 cid, aluminum heads/intake/exhaust manifolds/waterpump (250lb weigt reduction), 750 cfm carb, HEI.
She runs like a fine watch, sounds and rides great.
Being manufactured in 1947 places Linda Anne late in the Classic age classification with boats made 1943 through 1975. These are the ACBS Age Classifications:
