From Headquarters

We are visiting our northern friends this week for ACBS – Toronto’s 42nd Annual Vintage Boat Show at the Muskoka Wharf in Gravenhurst, Ontario. The show is truly Magic on the Water. Today there will be over 100 boats in water, and an additional 40+ on land display… representing so many different boatbuilders…Duke, Greavette, Ditchburn, Peterborough, Chris-Craft, Hacker, Fay & Bowen, Glastron…even a Chrysler. Plus vintage outboards, a field of dreams, vendors and flea market. The ACBS – Toronto folks will also be running their boats throughout the day for “Boats in Motion,” giving the public free rides. The Muskoka Extreme Water Ski Team will even be putting on a water ski show, and the Muskoka Steamships and  Discovery Centre will be open for tours including their newest exhibitions The Muskoka Story and Misko-Aki: Confluence of Cultures. Check out some of the images as people launched and moved into their show spots yesterday.

ACBS-Toronto also started things off on Friday with a day of cruising Lake Muskoka. After folks launched their boats there was both a slow and fast cruise for participants… “Enjoy the breath-taking scenery of Lake Muskoka with other vintage and classic boaters who enjoy a exhilarating, wind in your face trip. Enjoy lunch and share stories at the pavilion upon your return.” The evening followed with a dinner cruise aboard Muskoka Steamship’s Wenonah II.

Yesterday was magical and today is also guaranteed to be even more!
