SML Chapter Hosts Pot Luck Dinner

Fifty members of the Smith Mountain Lake Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society recently held their 2019 Annual Pot-Luck Dinner at the Waverly Club House .This gathering was arranged by chapter members Dave and Chris Olson and the guest speaker for this year’s event was Kirsten Johnson (pictured above with Alan Frederick, SML Chapter President). Kirsten is related to Gar Wood, the world famous Power Boat Racer of the early 1900s. Her presentation detailed the vast number of accomplishments achieved by Gar Wood during his life time.
