“Opening Day” sponsored by the Seattle Yacht Club was a Glorious Day!

The Pacific Northwest Chapter of ACBS had 24 boats in the festivities with 60 passengers costumed as “Escaped” prisoners  to win 1st place in the “Spirit Class”.  The theme of the day was “A Great Escape”.

More pictures have come in to share with you showing what a beautiful sunny day it was and how much fun was had on Lake Union and through “the cut” to Lake Washington.  The parade was in front of thousands of spectators on shore and lined up in their own cruisers and yachts to watch.  Even Mt. Rainier came out to watch.

Many of these pictures are from Maggi Cassell (Southern California Chapter) who with husband Rob had a great time along with the Antique & Classic Boat Society Board of Directors.  The weather was perfect! The boats were beautiful! The spirit was unbeatable!
