It’s a small chapter with a lot of tradition and SO much to offer!

Tidewater Chapter area is located along the east coast of Virginia where the great east coast rivers empty into the Atlantic Ocean.  The variety of classic boats represented in the chapter is unmatched ranging from an Historic 1899 Steam Launch to Antique 79′ Wheeler Motor Yacht to a Late Classic Canoe.  These vintage pleasure boats are neighbors with all ages of tall ships in the harbors, too.  The Chapter’s activities during the year range from Maryland south into northern North Carolina.

This year their Fourteenth Reedville Antique and Traditional Small Boat Show will be September 9, 2017.  It is co-sponsored by the Reedville Fisherman’s Museum. which features a beautiful Victorian Village.

Food and Drink will be available along with a Craft Beer Mart. The event promises to be another great visual display. A “Pass” for the entire show and museum admission is $5 and children 12 and under are free. Free rides on the Elva C will be available.  The skipjack “Claud Somers” is scheduling a cruise for that day.

A Nautical Flea Market is part of this boat show including whimsical as well as authentic nautical items.  It sounds like a fun weekend for both participants and spectators alike.

The JOIN page of this website lists many benefits of belonging to ACBS.  But if you ask a current member, they almost always name the number 1 benefit as the RELATIONSHIPS which grow within their chapter and through ACBS.

Right now, there is an ACBS chapter near you where members are talking boats, playing in boats, or looking at boats. In fact, probably all three.
And where are you?

Clicking on the word “Chapters” in the top menu of this website will lead you to an interactive map of chapter locations.  Being part of a chapter is the quickest way to share boating experiences and build relationships founded on common interests.
