We know boat show season is starting to kick off down south, but many of our northern ACBS chapters are still in winter or early spring mode, so that means workshops and gatherings. Here are a couple of upcoming offerings from the Glacier Lakes and Columbia-Willamette Chapters. If you are in the area, be sure to register, or check your local Chapter website to see what is being offered in your home region.
On April 1st, the Glacier Lakes Chapter will be hosting “Honey, I’ve Got This!” (This one’s for the Ladies!)
Ladies! Attend this 1-day seminar on April 1, 2023 and become confident in your boating skills. It’s a fact that women learn differently than men and thrive on interacting with other women, so please join Jane Larson for this 1- day seminar; for women and taught by women. Enjoy a day with other boating friends while learning or brushing up on the following topics:
• Be prepared for an hour…or a day…on the water! Learn what should be in your boat, what should be in your bag. You’ve Got This!
• Suddenly you’re in charge! Stuff happens on & off the water. Be prepared for the unexpected…from simple first aid to weather to boat handling. You’ve Got This!
• Trailering isn’t that hard! Demystifying trailering! (Just the basics!) You’ve Got This!
• Boat ramps are slippery! Tips for launching/retrieving boats, whether you’re behind the wheel or on the dock. You’ve Got This!
• Help the skipper navigate! Learn what different buoys, shapes & lights mean. You’ve Got This!
• Be a good crew person! From basic knot-tying to line tossing. You’ve Got This!
