From Headquarters

Being located along the St. Lawrence Seaway, means we see some pretty unique vessels from time to time in our little community in upstate New York. This past week a flotilla of local boats including the village fire boat, Last Chance, and vintage boats from the Antique Boat Museum including Zipper and Gadfly welcomed Theodore Too to the village of Clayton, New York. The iconic tugboat is a fully operational 65-foot reproduction of the cartoon character from the children’s television series “Theodore Tugboat” that aired on CBC and PBS. Since his launching in 2000, Theodore Too has traveled around North America acting as an ambassador for safe boating and the marine industry, as well as a champion for the protection of our waterways. Theodore Too now calls Hamilton, Ontario, his home port and will be traveling through the St. Lawrence River and Great Lakes making other stops along the way, giving tours to children and “children at heart.” Look for Theodore Too to make a stop at a port near you!
