Okanagan is this week’s featured chapter of the International Antique and Classic Boat Society.
By clicking on Okanagan Chapter, you will learn more about this chapter which serves western Canada.
OACBS Chapter is located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley of Kelowna British Columbia, Canada. Chapter membership covers most of Western Canada with members from as far East as Calgary and as far West as Victoria. They also have members from Northwestern USA so as a chapter, they are international as well.
Though this chapter’s member roster is smaller than average, they have active leaders and good attendance at their activities. The Chapter has won ACBS awards for both their newsletter (2015) and their website (2016). Take a look at their website to see pictures from events and a gallery of members’ boats such as these:
Are you wondering about the map of chapter members? If you are a member of the Antique and Classic Boat Society, you may go to the Members Only side of this website. When you click on the tab “CHAPTERS”, the list of 54 chapters appears. Clicking on the name of a chapter (left column) will take you to the map of where their members reside. It will also tell you the annual dues for the chapter and give you a link to their website. Scrolling below the map, you will find a list of the current officers with their contact information.
Are you a member of ACBS? If YES, try this feature of the Online Directory. If NO, then here is the place where you can JOIN.
Becoming a member of ACBS and a local chapter is the best opportunity to share knowledge and fun as you participate in shows and workshops – even phone calls and shop visits, to learn what there is to know about vintage boats and the people who love them.
Please share information about your chapter events. Anyone can do that. You may email up to six pictures and text to kathyparker@acbs.org.
