“Dad & Roy’s” is a 2015 Gold Restored 1940 Antique Chris Craft.
Charles and Linda Mote own “Dad & Roy’s”, a 1940 Chris Craft 15 ft. Deluxe Runabout. It is powered by a 4 cylinder 60 hp Chris Craft B engine.
Charles and Linda are members of the Blue Ridge Chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society.
The “Antique” term is applied to boats that were built between 1919 and 1942, inclusive. Gold Awards are presented to boats that are judged to be worthy of 92 through 96 points. At the Annual International Boat Show held at Gull Lake, Minnesota, 31 Gold Awards in total were presented to boats in various classes.
