A little tease for summer boating season to come last weekend?
Visitors and classic boating enthusiasts attending the Ottawa Boat Show were treated to another fine display of MCBC members boats. Held from February 20-23, 2020 at the EY Center our offering showcased the restoration process from ‘barn find’ to award winning quality. Upwards of 9,000 guests passed our booth oozing enthusiasm about a by gone era of boating history featuring a classic Chris Craft U22, a Gidley launch just restored, a ‘Tower of Power’ classic fiberglass runabout to a very unusual “Duck Boat”. If a slower pace is what you were seeking the canoes and kayaks offered up this option. In addition to a fine selection of outboard motors plenty of classic boating literature was available plus many videos to watch. Videos included a couple of new ‘Tripping the Rideau’ trailers, A TVO production featuring members and their boats. A big thank you to Carman for organizing another successful event and to all the club volunteers who either brought a boat or motor or manned the booth.
Thank you to our sponsors for their continued support of our club through 2020.
