This is a follow-up press release for the Smith Mountain Lake July 4th Parade.

Thanks,  George Blosser, Publicity Chairman of the SML Chapter, for sharing this picture.  The group of participants has grown and residents and guests around the lake now anticipate and enjoy the annual tradition.

The SML Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society participated in a 4th of July Parade during this week’s holiday. Members of the chapter along with the Quinn family organized this year’s event. Over 31 boats made the trip from mile marker B-25 to Bridgewater Plaza behind the lead boat which was driven by Thomas Quinn. A group photo was taken following the group’s arrival at Bridgewater Plaza. (shown above) This year’s parade marks the 3rd time the Quinns have led the parade with their 1940 Chris-Craft Barrel Back appropriately named “Patriot”.
