The Blackhawk Chapter proudly received its Certificate of Charter on January 22, 1986. Covering northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin, we’re all about celebrating the love of classic boats and good times on the water! We’re best known for the iconic Geneva Lakes Boat Show in Fontana, Wisconsin, held every year on the last full weekend in September. It’s a huge draw, with stunning boats from across the country and thousands of spectators flocking to the event.
With 190 members, we’re always up to something fun! From workshops and spring/fall dinners to the Famous Freddie’s summer boat show and the lively Chicago River Rendezvous, we’ve got a packed calendar of exciting events.
Between official events, our members enjoy boating on local lakes and waterways such as Geneva Lake, the Fox River & Chain O’ Lakes, the Chicago River, and Lake Michigan.
