By Rafe Hunsucker member of the Heartland Classics chapter

My parents bought this 1960 Chris-Craft Cavalier slightly used in 1962 and it has served the Hunsucker family ever since, having It restored by Antique boat shop Ft.Wayne Indiana around 2010.
The most prestigious award was Most original boat at the International boat show 2012 at Big Cedar Lodge on Table Rock lake, at the awards banquet I met Chris Smith and obtained his signature on my judging sheet, now framed by the other awards she’s won.
The boat got its name Irish Mist at the time of restoration as one of my Father’s nicknames was Irish.
The boat came to belong to me after his death in 2009.
I cherish the memories made using her throughout my life. I will try keeping her in the family in the best shape possible until it is somebody else’s turn.
She resides at Grand Lake of the Cherokees In Oklahoma.

  1. Beautiful. This looks like a clone of my 1959 cavalier made in Pompano Beach Florida. Is that a Taylor Made windshield? Gary Gebhard
