The story behind the name – My Dad was a boater dating well before WWII.  He owned a number of now classic boats, then just boats not yet classics!  A Richardson, an Owens and ultimately a 35 ft. Bay City triple cabin which he bought in 1948 for $5,000 from the original owner/builder (Bay City sold kit boats, a story all its own worth a future article in RUDDER) he owned her into the 90’s just before he passed.  He always admired mahogany runabouts, but was never in the position to own one, the Bay City keeping him plenty busy.  His favorite song was “Heart Of My Heart”, therefore the name on our Classic 19.

This 1992 28′ triple runabout StanCraft is owned by Murray Danzig from the Inland Empire chapter (Coeur d’Alene, Idaho). Tutta Bella is powered by a 220hp Crusader V8 engine.

This 1958 16’ Shepherd is a family boat owned since the early 80s by Rich and June Mohovich. The boat is pictured after a 4-year restoration.

This boat is a 1977 Stan Craft NorWester 260 displayed last August at the ACBS Show on Flathead Lake in Big Fork, Montana.

The second picture is of me and my wife, Tom and Kathy Elliot, and the boat’s builder, Syd Young, of Stan Craft Boat Company located in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.

This boat is a 1974 Century Resorter. The boat is about 97% all original condition with over 1,700 hours. The boat’s name is Atsa Mabote…say it like an Italian “That’s My Boat.” The boat is Owned by Holly and Mark Murphy, Blue Ridge Chapter, Atlanta, GA. The photo taken at the Lake Sinclair Classic Boat Event near Milledgeville, GA. Home port is Lake Lanier, GA.
