This fall, the historic waterfront of Georgetown, South Carolina, will once again come alive with wooden boats, traditional craftsmanship and maritime heritage during the 37th Annual Georgetown Wooden Boat Show, October 17–18, 2026.
For one weekend, wooden boats of all shapes and sizes will line Front Street and the Harborwalk, from handcrafted canoes and skiffs to classic sailboats and beautifully restored powerboats. Visitors can meet the builders and owners behind the boats, watch teams build a seaworthy wooden boat in just four hours during Saturday’s Wooden Boat Challenge, explore the South Carolina Maritime Museum, and enjoy a weekend of maritime activities along the Sampit River.
The setting is part of what makes the show special. Located in the heart of one of South Carolina’s oldest port cities, the show puts visitors steps away from Georgetown’s waterfront, historic streets, shops and restaurants, making it an easy centerpiece for a fall weekend on the South Carolina coast.
