Mountain View Woodies is one of the younger ACBS Chapters, founded on April 23, 2003 originally with 22 members. Receiving formation guidance from the Maine Maritime Museum and the New Hampshire Boat Museum, today, the Mountain View Woodies Classic Boat Club members enjoy some of the most scenic coastline in the northeast.

The original chapter officers included Howard Perkson, Jr. acting as president, Paul Follansbee as vice president, Doborah Forman as secretary and Nancy Coucher as treasurer. Their newsletter, News from the Cockpit, shares information on boat shows and cruises and keeps members informed on the latest happenings.

The chapter’s premier boat show has been held at the causeway in Naples, Maine for 30 years. With 40 miles of clear freshwater boating, beaches and pine trees, Naples, Maine, has been a popular vacation destination for generations. Proceeds from the show are donated to the chapter’s charity, Camp Sunshine, a local lakefront icon that brings happiness to kids battling life threatening illnesses.
