Each week, the Antique and Classic Boat Society features one of the 53 chapters that are part of the ACBS International organization.

This week, the spotlight is on the Blue Ridge Chapter.  You can see from the chapter’s membership map that they have a large membership hailing from most of the US East Coast.  The core of membership and the chapter officers are from Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.

The Blue Ridge Chapter has already been busy this year exhibiting at winter boat shows. The Blue Ridge leadership initiated the idea and hosted a Regional Workshop on Feb. 10th during the Charlotte, NC Boat Show.  This Workshop was not about physically preserving or restoring a boat, but rather a forum to enhance leadership skills and share best practices among regional leaders.

Soon it will be boating weather in the region and the earliest chapter event scheduled is the 2018 Lake Hartwell Boat Show, April 19-22.

“Hey Everyone, We look forward to seeing everyone at the upcoming Lake Hartwell boat show! This is going to be a great weekend of fun, hanging out, and activities for the kids. Please respond if your going, and do us a favor and share this event with friends!”  Click Lake Hartwell Boat Show  for details and registration.

The Blue Ridge Chapter page on this website has links to all of the events planned for the year as well as links to the Chapter website and to their active Facebook page.

(You can always find a chapter’s dedicated page on this ACBS website by clicking on the word “Chapters” in the top menu.)

This fun slideshow of Blue Ridge Activities is from their Facebook page.

What a great group of boaters and friends.
