IT’S THE BOATS AND THE PEOPLE!

That’s how the Toronto Chapter’s website opens.  ACBS members who live in or near the central and western part of Ontario belong to this chapter.

First of all – THE BOATS –  The Toronto Chapter sends out “Its Wood Boat Wednesday” email.  Last week this boat was featured:

THE FLAGSHIP by Peter Breen is a contemporary 32’ new build with a 7’ beam and modern V8 power. She is a Salon Hard Top with roll-up windows all around, mother-in-law cockpit forward, and after cockpit behind the salon. It took Peter 10 years of his spare time to complete.

There will so many gorgeous unique Canadian boats at this year’s ACBS International Boat Show BOAT THE BLUE at Port Huron, Michigan, Sept. 13-15, 2018.  But first, they will be at the Chapter’s Annual Show at the Muskoka Wharf in Gravenhurst, Ontario on July 7th.

The Toronto Chapter is also known for their award-winning publication ClassicBoat, edited by Kathy Rhodes.  Another publication on their website is Junior Classics.  Take a look at it to read about Sea Fleas, Cardboard Boats, and especially Kids Dory Building.

You can see from all the pictures that every activity involves PEOPLE who are having fun volunteering, enjoying their boats, and being with each other.

There are so many events hosted by ACBS Chapters all year.  Look to see what is going on:

  • in your own chapter (click on your own chapter under the Chapters tab on this website)
  • in chapters that are near your vacation or business route   (look at the Events Calendar for the time you’ll be traveling)
  • at a location you’ve always wanted to visit.  Then plan your trip around that time and place.

One of the most valuable benefits of ACBS membership comes from meeting more people who share the passion.
