On a rainy Saturday in April, we put 32-chapter members in three large vans and toured the shops of some of our members. We are blessed with several members who are competent restorers as well as craftsmen in musical instrument making, fine castings, automobile collections and restoration and museum quality collections of memorabilia and toys.

The tours were arranged by chapter president and vice president, David Rosenberger, and Gil Maringer. Our shop owners: Gary Kosiba, Doug Brooks, Guy Pipitone, Byron Kruger, Gil Maringer, and Guy Pipitone put considerable effort into getting their shops ready and putting interesting projects on display. Terry Miller kindly opened his museum of automotive memorabilia and toys for the tour and Jim Genovese, owner of Sandy Beach Marina, made his Cobra available as well as opening his restaurant “The Ramp” for our use before and after the tour.

The rain gave way to some sunshine, lunches were served mid-tour and after a very interesting day, we all thanked our members for giving their time and efforts in making this a very memorable day spent with good friends. We all learned much about the talents of some of our members, viewed several projects underway and were able to pick up valuable techniques on many subjects along the way.
