What does Kringle pastry have to do with Antique and Classic Boats?
On the Antique & Classic Boat Society’s registration form is the chance to sign-up for a narrated tour of the highlights of Racine, Wisconsin where the Annual Meeting and International Boat Show will be held. The Racine City Bus Tour is scheduled for Thursday afternoon from 3:00 – 5:00 – after the meetings and before you will be making plans for your personal excursions around the town.
Explore downtown Racine with a City Tour of the community!
Hop on the bus at 3 pm at the Racine Civic Center. (That is the site of the Annual Meetings and Boat Show.)
You will enjoy a narrated, 2-hour bus tour to learn about Racine’s history and culture and its key attractions. See and learn about settlement history including and how Danish immigration influenced Racine. Learn how Racine played a key role in the Civil War and the influence that can still be seen in the city today.
Drive past iconic attractions such as North Beach, the Racine Zoo, the Wind Point Lighthouse and Frank Lloyd Wright architecture.
During the tour, we will stop SC Johnson for a campus tour, and enjoy a delicious Kringle tasting at a historic bakery. At the conclusion of the tour, you will return to the Racine Civic Center at 5 pm.
