Lou Rauh gathered people who had worked for The Antique Boat Connection (center) for the last 30 years for a celebration of friends and wood boats. The idea of having a central location for buying and selling classic boats occurred to Lou in the 1980s when he was looking for a boat of his own. He turned this idea into reality in an old warehouse, then added sales managers, mechanics, woodworking masters, and provided early internet access to information about available boats.

The business became a matchmaker, helping classic boats find new caretakers and boating families find the boat of their dreams.

Lou has been a driving force for years in helping people buy or sell a wood boat.  He’s retired now but he brought together a great group of people over the years.  Many still work together at The Motor Boat Garage. Brian Keen says, “We all still consider each other friends and it was great to see everyone.” The reunion was held at The Motor Boat Garage in Cincinnati.
