Liberty Bay Maritime Festival
The Liberty Bay Maritime Festival is a multi-day waterfront celebration of Poulsbo’s maritime heritage, local arts, and community spirit. The festival will be celebrating our antique and historic maritime vessels. All historic vessels are invited to participate.

Aligning with the 250th celebration of the founding of America, this is the perfect time to pay tribute and recognize the importance of our maritime landmarks and history. The festival’s centerpiece attraction is proposed to be the historic Virginia V steamship—a National Historic Landmark that will be docked at the Poulsbo Marina for public tours, educational programs, and on-the-water cruises. The Viriginia V is an original “Mosquito Fleet” vessel that served Poulsbo as well as other Puget Sound destinations during the turn of the century.
Additionally, the Valkyrie is a magnificent 56 foot hand-crafted vessel — A unique and historic replica, Valkyrie is based on the ancient recovered ship ‘Skuldelev 6′, a Norwegian-built Viking ship unearthed after one thousand years from the waters at Roskilde, Denmark. She is certified as an inspected passenger vessel by the US Coast Guard will also be available for tours and sailings. Many more historic vessels will be on site for tours or sailing.
The maritime festival will feature live music, artisan vendors, food trucks, interactive exhibits, and family-friendly activities.
The members of Antique & Classic Boat Society (ACBS) are welcome to bring historic vessels to the maritime event.
